Priorities and Goals
Budget
The City is facing a structural deficit that requires immediate and thoughtful attention. I will work to ensure our City’s resources are spent responsibly while exploring new revenue sources to support the City going forward.
Economic Development
I support small businesses and the essential role they play in making Auburn a unique and charming city. I will work to support economic development and creative solutions to increasing tourism in a sustainable manner to support our city and bring vibrancy to our commercial core and surrounding businesses.
Safety
I will work with the police and fire departments to ensure they have the necessary resources and staffing to protect our City. I will seek and support alternative revenue sources to fund public safety.
Quality of Life
Auburn is an incredible place to live! The access to nature, strong community, arts and culture, and fantastic food and beverage scene are just a few things that support our quality of life. I will work to keep Auburn an amazing and affordable place to live, work, play, and welcome visitors year-round. I want to ensure Auburn is a community people of all ages and backgrounds can feel comfortable and welcome living, working, and visiting.
Active Lifestyles
I will work to bring safe, accessible, and connected transportation alternatives to the City. I support active transportation (walking, biking, rolling) and will work to improve bike and pedestrian safety to meet the needs of all users. I will work to integrate the City with our incredible natural resources in a thoughtful and sustainable manner.
